OLALERE Samuel Aderemi B.A (Hons Benin) 1989, MCA (U.I) 2000.
Remi Olalere was born about 57 years ago, started his primary education at St. Matthew’s C.A.C Primary school Ikerre Ekiti, later at C.A.C Oniyanrin and finally at NW5 Baptist Primary School Inalende Ibadan. He had his Secondary Education at Oranyan Grammar School Oyo and later at the then Oyo State College of Arts and Science (OSCAS) Ile-Ife before proceeding to The University of Benin where he trained as a Graphic Artist with a bias in Photography.
OLALERE joined the services of The Polytechnic Ibadan in 1992 as Assistant Lecturer and rose to the peak of his career as (Senior Principal Lecturer) now Chief Lecturer in 2009. He obtained his masters degree in Communication Arts from the University of Ibadan with a bias in Advertising. A seasoned curriculum developer who pioneered the development of both National and Higher National Diploma program in Photography for NBTE now being run in Nigerian Polytechnics in 1999. In 2010 he was in the team that developed the ‘O’ Level syllabus for NECO Photography hence the current Chief Examiner of the subject. He has served at various times as member of accreditation team to so many Polytechnics in Nigeria. External Examiner to several Polytechnics and Assessor to several academic publications for journals. Assessor to Academic and Promotion Committees in Nigeria Polytechnics.
Mr. Olalere managed the data base of The Polytechnic Ibadan between 2005 and 2013 an opportunity to be part of the team that computerized the Institution. A member of several professional bodies which includes Computer Professional Registration Council (CPN), Nigerian Computer Society (NCS), Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) to mention a few. He has served the system in various capacities and currently the Dean, Facility of Environmental Studies since 2007 and a second term Member of The Governing Council Representing the Congregation since 2016. He is married with children.
