1. Visit the official Federal Fire Service portal at www.fedfire.gov.ng or the CDCFIB recruitment portal at www.recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng using a web browser. Use Chrome or Opera for the best results.

2. Navigate to the ‘Shortlisted Candidates’ section on the homepage. It is usually listed in the menu or on the homepage banner.

3. Click on ‘View Full List’ or the shortlisted candidates link.

4. Select your state of origin from the list provided to open the shortlist for your state.

5. Download the PDF file for your state.

6. Open the PDF and use the search function (Ctrl + F on a computer, or the magnifying glass icon on mobile) to search for your name or your application number.

7. If your name appears, print or save the page confirming your shortlist status. Proceed to prepare all required screening documents immediately.

8. Also, check your registered email address. The FFS sends screening notifications and instructions to shortlisted candidates by email. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see an email in your main inbox.

Important: If your name does not appear on the shortlist, do not make payment to any individual or agent claiming they can add your name. The shortlist is final and cannot be altered through payment. Check the CDCFIB portal regularly, as additional batches may be released.

All shortlisted candidates must arrive at their assigned screening venue with the following documents. Failure to present any required document may result in automatic disqualification, no exceptions:
