Once your name is confirmed on the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Senate List, the next important step is completing your online registration on the NYSC portal. The registration process allows prospective corps members (PCMs) to submit their personal information, upload necessary documents, and complete biometric verification before deployment to orientation camp.

What is NYSC online registration?

NYSC registration is the official online process that qualifies Nigerian graduates for participation in the National Youth Service Corps programme. It is done through the official NYSC portal and is mandatory for all eligible graduates who want to serve.

During registration, NYSC collects and verifies:

  • Personal bio-data (name, date of birth, state of origin, etc.)
  • Academic information (institution, course, graduation details)
  • Biometric data (fingerprints and facial capture)
  • Passport photograph and signature
  • National Identification Number (NIN) details
  • Supporting documents and certificates

Only candidates who meet the requirements are allowed to proceed to orientation camp.

Eligibility Requirements for NYSC Registration

To be eligible for NYSC registration, you must:

  • Have graduated from an accredited Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education (or approved foreign institution)
  • Have your name on the NYSC Senate/Academic Board List (for Nigerian graduates)
  • Meet the age requirement for national service or exemption as provided by the NYSC Act
  • Have a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Nigerian-trained graduates must first appear on the NYSC Senate List before registering online
