The University of Port Harcourt extends an invitation to candidates who selected the university as their First Choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieved a minimum qualifying score.

These candidates are encouraged to apply for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise, a university admission prerequisite.

Additionally, candidates who selected the University as their first choice in the 2024/2025 JAMB Direct Entry application are equally invited to participate in the screening exercise.

For the 2023/2024 academic session at the University of Port Harcourt, candidates were required to have a minimum score of 150 to be eligible for the post-UTME screening process. To proceed with the application, eligible candidates were directed to submit a non-refundable fee of 2000 naira through the university’s online portal.

UNIPort Post UTME/DE Registration Requirements

• All candidates must have selected the University as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieved a minimum score.
• Candidates must possess the relevant O’level credit passes as per the University’s Entry Requirements before initiating the admission application.
• To be considered for admission, candidates who initially chose the University as their second choice must first make a change to the University of Port Harcourt as their First Choice before applying for the Screening Exercise.
• Candidates must be sixteen (16) years or older by October 2024 to be eligible for the exercise.

How to Apply for Registration Process

• Visit the University website at www.uniport.edu.ng to begin registration.\ for UTME.
• For Direct Entry, visit www.uniport.edu.ng
• Follow the Registration Procedure outlined on the website diligently.
• Eligible candidates should enter their UTME Registration Number and verify the pre-loaded UTME details.
• Generate the Remita Code for payment using a Master, Visa, Verve Card, etc. Alternatively, candidates can print out the Payment Slip and proceed to any of the following Banks with Remita Platform: ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FCMB, UBA PLC, and UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK.
• Complete the payment process as instructed.

UNIPORT Post Utme Screening

• Additional information and the schedule for the Screening Exercise will be communicated in due course.
• Candidates are advised to check the university website regularly for updates and announcements.

Significant Things to Note During Registration

• The University strictly prohibits any inconsistency in names or pictures on the Registration Slip, and such discrepancies may result in the disqualification of affected candidates.
• Candidates must ensure that their names on O’Level Certificates, UTME Results, and other registration documents are identical.
• Mobile phones, iPads, iPods, Walkman, and similar gadgets, or any extraneous materials, are strictly prohibited within the Screening Venue and its surroundings.
• Candidates must complete the application within the specified Registration Period, as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at the close of Registration.
• Registration is online; therefore, candidates are not expected to be physically present on the University Campus. They are advised to register from any location.
• It is imperative that candidates promptly upload their O’Level results to the JAMB website; failure to do so will result in non-consideration for admission.
• Candidates must register using valid telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.
• Candidates must adhere to the scheduled time on the Photo Card when reporting to the designated Screening Venues. Failure to do so may lead to disqualification.
• Parents, guardians, and uninvited security agents will not be granted access to the campus during the Screening Exercise.

Has the Post UTME Registration for UNIPORT 2024/2025 Started?

Currently, the UNIPORT management has not officially released the Post UTME form and Direct Entry screening application form for the 2024/2025 academic session.
