The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 post-UTME screening exercise. This is an important opportunity for prospective students who have chosen UNIPORT as their first-choice institution in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Important Dates:

  • Registration Period: July 23rd – September 19th, 2024
  • Screening Exercise: September 23rd – September 28th, 2024

Note: UNIPORT has extended the registration deadline to Thursday, September 19th, 2024.

Eligibility Requirements for UNIPORT Post UTME

Before applying for the UNIPORT Post UTME screening, ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must have chosen the University of Port Harcourt as their first choice in the 2024 UTME
  • A minimum UTME score of 160 is required
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of five O’level credit passes (including English Language and Mathematics) in subjects relevant to their intended course of study
  • Applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years old by October 2024

How to Apply for UNIPORT Post UTME 2024/2025

Follow these step-by-step instructions to successfully register for the UNIPORT Post UTME:

Step 1: Access the Registration Portal

Visit the official UNIPORT website at www.uniport.edu.ng and navigate to the Post UTME registration page.

Step 2: Enter UTME Details

  • Input your UTME Registration Number
  • Confirm your pre-loaded UTME details are correct

Step 3: Make Payment

  • Generate a Remita code for the non-refundable application fee of N2,000
  • Payment can be made using:
    • MasterCard, Visa, or Verve Card online
    • Printing the payment slip and paying at any bank with the Remita platform (ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FCMB, UBA PLC, or UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK)

Step 4: Obtain Access Code

  • After payment, obtain a Remita receipt that shows an Access Code
  • This code will be required to complete your registration

Step 5: Complete the Online Form

  • Log in again using your UTME Registration Number and the Access Code
  • Fill out the online application form with your academic details
  • If you’re awaiting O’Level results, indicate this on the form
  • Upload a passport photograph with red background (not more than 1 x 1 inch) if requested

Step 6: Submit and Print Required Documents

  • Click the “submit” button to complete your application
  • Print your registration slip/photo card for the screening exercise
  • Remember to reprint the photo card a day before your examination

Documents Required for Post UTME Screening

On the day of your screening examination, bring the following:

  • Printed Post UTME Photo Card/Acknowledgment Slip
  • A valid government-issued ID
  • Recent passport-sized photograph
  • A printout of your UTME result slip
  • O-level results (for candidates with pending results, a statement from WAEC/NECO may be accepted)

Important Information and Guidelines

Registration Notes

  • Registration is completely online; physical presence on campus is not required during registration
  • Candidates who chose UNIPORT as a second choice must change it to their first choice to be eligible
  • Use valid personal telephone numbers and email addresses during registration
  • Ensure your O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB website as soon as possible

Screening Day Instructions

  • Mobile phones, iPads, iPods, Walkmans, and similar electronic devices are prohibited at the screening venue
  • Arrive at the venue early to avoid unnecessary tension
  • Candidates must attend the screening at designated venues or risk disqualification
  • Parents, guardians, and uninvited security agents will not be allowed on campus during screening days
