The University of Lagos extends an invitation to candidates who have selected the institution as their First Choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have achieved a minimum qualifying score.

These candidates are encouraged to apply for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise, a mandatory process for admission to the university.

Furthermore, candidates who have chosen the University as their first choice in the 2024/2025 JAMB Direct Entry application are also invited to participate in the screening exercise.

For the 2023/2024 academic session at the University of Lagos, a minimum score of 200 was required for candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-UTME screening process. Eligible candidates were directed to submit a non-refundable fee of 2000 naira through the university’s online portal.

 Post UTME/DE Registration Requirements

  • All candidates must have selected the University as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieved a minimum score.
  • Candidates must possess the relevant Oโ€™level credit passes as per the Universityโ€™s Entry Requirements before initiating the admission application.
  • To be considered for admission, candidates who initially chose the University as their second choice must first make a change to the University of Port Harcourt as their First Choice before applying for the Screening Exercise.
  • Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age or older

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidates should visit the University of Lagos website, www.unilag.edu.ng and then take the following steps:

  • Click on Admissions
  • Click on Post-UTME Application
  • Login with UTME number as username and surname in lowercase as password
  • Generate and print payment advice
  • Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or pay online
  • Return to the University portal to complete the screening form
  • Print Post-UTME Examination Pass

Significant Things to Note During Registration

  • Any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission
  • Candidates not participating in the post-UTME screening will not be considered for admission.
  • Former students of the University whose admissions were withdrawn based on poor academic performance or absence status could re-apply on condition that the new admission shall be for a new program/course different from the former program/course.
  • Candidates who upload wrong or inconsistent Bio data will automatically be disqualified.

Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines and obtain necessary clarifications.

The University has zero tolerance for drug abuse. The University shall withdraw the admission of newly admitted students who test positive for drug use whenever the University conducts the test, before or after registration.

Currently, the University of Lagos management has not officially released the Post UTME form and Direct Entry screening application form for the 2024/2025 academic session.
