The management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has officially released the Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening application form for the 2026/2027 academic session. About the University of Uyo

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is a federal university located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Established in 1991, UNIUYO offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple faculties, including Medicine, Law, Engineering, Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, Education, Agriculture, and Environmental Studies. It is one of the major federal universities in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria.

Has the 2026/2027 Post-UTME registration started?

Currently, the Uniuyo management has officially released the Post UTME form and Direct Entry screening application form for the 2026/2027 academic session, with the stipulated period of 15 June through 7 August 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

For UTME Candidates

• First choice: UNIUYO must be your first-choice institution in the 2026 JAMB UTME. Second-choice candidates are NOT eligible and will not be considered.
• JAMB score: Minimum of 150 marks in the 2026 JAMB UTME (per official university notice). Note that most competitive departments require scores significantly above this minimum.
• O-Level results: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings
• Subject combination: O-Level credits must include three other subjects relevant to your chosen course of study, to ensure your combination matches the university’s program requirements
• Age: Must be at least 16 years old at the time of application
• Bio-data accuracy: Must fill in the bio-data form correctly. Wrong or inconsistent bio-data leads to automatic disqualification
• Screening participation: Participation in the Post-UTME CBT screening exercise is MANDATORY. Candidates who do not register will not be considered for admission.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

In addition to the UTME requirements listed above, Direct Entry candidates must also:

• Hold relevant qualifications: OND, HND, NCE, first degree, or at least two A-Level passes in relevant disciplines.
• Upload higher qualification: Must scan and upload the original academic qualification document to the portal in PDF format only. Do not use JPG or DOCX
• First choice (DE): UNIUYO must be your first choice during the JAMB Direct Entry application
• O-Level still required: Despite holding higher qualifications, Direct Entry candidates must still have five O-Level credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics.

Step-by-Step Registration Guide

1. Visit the official portal at uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals,  OR go to uniuyo.edu.ng and click on the ‘e-portals’ link on the homepage.

2. On the e-portals page, click on ‘Admission Forms Link,’ usually visible in the sidebar or main menu.

3. If you are a first-time applicant, click ‘Create Account’. Enter your full name, email address, phone number, and JAMB registration number. Submit and check your email (including spam folder) for a verification link. Click the link to activate your account.

4. Select your application form type: Post-UTME (for JAMB UTME candidates) or Direct Entry (for DE candidates). Be careful not to choose the wrong category.

5. Enter your active phone number and email address. All communications will come through these contacts.

6. Click ‘MAKE PAYMENT NOW’. The system will generate your RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference), a unique number for your payment. Note it down.

7. Make payment, choose your method: (A) Online: select online payment on the portal, enter ATM card details or use internet banking, follow the prompts to pay ₦2,000, wait for confirmation. (B) Bank branch: print or screenshot your RRR, visit any commercial bank, present the RRR, pay ₦2,000, and collect your receipt. Keep it safe.

8. After successful payment, return to the UNIUYO admission portal. Click ‘Confirm Payment’ or enter your RRR if prompted. Wait for the system to confirm your payment.

9. After payment is confirmed, click ‘Register Link’ or ‘Complete Registration’ to obtain your login credentials (username and password). Write them down immediately.

10. Log in to your applicant dashboard with your credentials.

11. Fill the application form with personal information, contact details, educational background, JAMB details, and course preference. For DE candidates, upload your higher academic qualification (PDF only).

12. Review your entire application carefully before submitting. Check spelling, JAMB registration number, date of birth, and contact details.

13. Click ‘Submit’. Do not close your browser until you see a success confirmation message.

14. After successful submission, the portal will generate your 2026/2027 Screening Exercise Slip. Print at least 2–3 copies and keep them safe. You MUST bring this slip to the screening venue.

Estimated time: The entire registration process takes approximately 20–30 minutes if you have all your information and documents ready before you start.

What to Bring to the Screening Exercise

• Printed 2026/2027 Screening Exercise Slip: Generated from the UNIUYO portal after registration, bring at least 2 copies
• JAMB Notification of Result: For UTME candidates, your official JAMB result slip
• Post-UTME registration slip: For DE candidates, printout of your Direct Entry screening slip
• Evidence of payment: Your payment receipt or bank payment confirmation for the ₦2,000 screening fee
• Valid means of identification: National ID Card, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License, or International Passport

Tips for Post-UTME Preparation

• Study your JAMB syllabus subjects: The UNIUYO Post-UTME CBT covers subjects relevant to your chosen course. Practice with the JAMB syllabus
• Use UNIUYO past Post-UTME questions: Practice with past UNIUYO Post-UTME questions available from reputable sources and bookshops.
• Register early: Do not wait until close to the deadline, as the portal experiences heavy traffic near closing dates.
• Prepare documents before visiting the portal: Have your JAMB registration number, NIN, email address, phone number, and payment method ready before you start.
• Save login credentials: Write down your portal username and password immediately after they are generated.
• Check your email regularly: All UNIUYO communications regarding your screening date, center assignment, and admission status are sent to your registered email address.
• Print multiple copies of your screening slip: Bring at least 2–3 copies to the exam venue.
