The shortlist is released after every phase of recruitment, and below are the stages of the Nigerian Army recruitment:

Application: This is the first phase, where interested applicants are invited to apply for the recruitment exercise.

Screening: After the deadline, a shortlisted candidates list is released, containing the names of those eligible to participate in the screening exercise.

Training: The screening is immediately followed by the training, even though many people need clarification on the two phases being the same thing.

How To Check The Nigerian Army Recruitment Shortlist

The shortlist would be published on the recruitment or enlistment portal. To check if your name is on the list, visit https://recruitment.army.mil.ng/military-secretary to check if they have been shortlisted.

Shortlisted DSSC 28/2024 candidates are to report at the Headquarters 2 Division NigerianArmy, Ibadan, Oyo State on 11 March 2024 from 8 am โ€“ 11 am. Candidates who arrive after 11 am on 11 March 2024 will be disqualified.

The Nigerian Army DSS 86RRI recruitment shortlist is available now, and they have released a set of guidelines for shortlisted persons to follow.

Requirements For The Nigerian Army DSSC Screening & Training

Candidates are to report to the Selection Board venue on 11 March 2024 between 8 am and 11 am with the following items:

  • Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
  • Three (3) pairs of plain white short-sleeved vests.
  • Three (3) pairs of navy blue shorts.
  • Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.
  • Toiletries.
  • A set of cutlery, including plates and drinking cups.
  • Beddings: to include blankets, bedspreads, pillowcases, etc.
  • Four (4) copies offull size coloured photographs at standing positionin suit.

The selection exercise will involve physical, medical, and academic tests and an oral interview for all candidates.

Candidates will be required to produce original and duplicate copies of the following:

  • All academic/professional certificates, including testimonials, NYSC discharge, or valid Exemption Certificate as applicable in a file jacket.
  • Certificate of ordination for candidates seeking Chaplain( Protestant/Roman Catholic).
  • Certificate of Call to Bar for candidates seeking Directorate of Legal Services.
  • Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, and Local Government
  • Council of birth or valid age declaration.
  • A valid certificate of state of origin.
  • Military Identity Card (military personnel only).
  • Letter of recommendation by Commanding Officers/ Commanders (military personnel only).
  • Letter of sponsorship in a tertiary academic institution (military personnel only).
  • Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank and NIN enrolment slip.
  • Completed copies of print outs from the DSSC portal including referee forms.
  1. Candidates must note that any alteration to their documents will render them invalid.
  2. Candidates will be fed and accommodated throughout the Selection Board.
  3. Candidates will be responsible for their transportation to and from the Selection Board.
  4. Candidates’ use of personal/private vehicles is strictly prohibited throughout the duration of the Selection Board.
  5. Visitors will not be allowed through out the duration ofthe SelectionBoard.

The screening will be held at Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Oyo State on 11 March 2024 from 8 am โ€“ 11 am.

Mobile phones are prohibited during the screening exercise. Shortlisted persons are expected to be of the best behavior during the screening exercise.
