Step 3: Read the Instructions

Step 4: Create Your Account / Register
Provide your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, state of residence, and other required personal details to create your profile.
Step 5: Fill the Application Form
Complete the online form accurately. Provide your educational background, your qualified teaching subject(s), and any relevant teaching or volunteer experience. Double-check all entries before moving to the next section.
Step 6: Upload Required Documents
Attach clear, readable scanned copies of all required documents. Confirm each file meets the portal’s size and format requirements before uploading.
Step 7: Review Your Application
Before submitting, thoroughly review every section of your completed form. Correct any errors or incomplete fields.
Step 8: Submit Your Application
Click the Submit button to finalise your application. Apply for ONE position only; multiple submissions will result in automatic disqualification.
Step 9: Save Your Confirmation
After submission, an email confirmation will be sent to your registered email address. Save or print this confirmation slip as a reference for future stages of the recruitment.
Screening and Selection Process
After the application window closes, UBEC conducts a structured multi-stage screening exercise to select the most qualified candidates. Below are the stages to expect:
Stage 1: Application Review and Short-listing
All submitted applications are reviewed against the eligibility criteria. Only candidates who meet all stated requirements will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via their registered email address and through the official portal. Monitor your email and the portal regularly after the closing date.
Stage 2: Computer-Based Test (CBT) Screening
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit a Computer-Based Test. The CBT assesses teaching competencies, subject knowledge, and aptitude. The date, time, and location of the CBT will be communicated to shortlisted candidates by email. Candidates who pass the CBT proceed to the next stage.

- Valid means of identification
- Original academic certificates
Stage 3: Credentials Verification
Candidates who pass the CBT will be required to present original copies of all documents submitted during the application for physical verification. Any candidate found to have submitted forged, altered, or misrepresented documents will be disqualified and may face prosecution.
Stage 4: Medical Examination
Successful candidates may be required to undergo a medical examination to confirm they are physically and mentally fit to carry out teaching duties.
Stage 5: Deployment
Finally, selected candidates will be deployed to government primary or junior secondary schools based on areas with the most critical teacher shortages. While state preferences are noted, final deployment decisions are made by UBEC to address the most urgent needs. Successful teachers must report to their assigned schools promptly upon receiving their posting letters.
