Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for employment as a teacher in Nasarawa State, applicants must meet the following requirements:
General Requirements
Citizenship: Must be a Nigerian citizen with a valid means of identification (National ID Card, International Passport, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License, or NIN)
Age Limit: Must not be over 35 years at the time of application
Character: Must be of good behavior, moral character, and sound composure
Health: Must be physically and mentally fit for teaching duties

Teaching Qualification: Must possess any of the following from a recognized institution:
- National Certificate of Education (NCE) in relevant subject
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in relevant subject
- Bachelor of Arts/Science in Education (B.A. Ed / B.Sc. Ed)
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc / B.A) in relevant field
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant discipline
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) for non-teaching positions
NYSC Certificate: Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter (for B.Sc and HND holders)
State of Origin: Certificate of State of Origin or Local Government Identification duly signed by appropriate authorities
Birth Certificate: Valid Birth Certificate from the National Population Commission or Sworn Affidavit of Declaration of Age
Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computer applications will be an added advantage

Selection Process
The recruitment process is merit-based and transparent. Successful candidates will progress through the following stages:
Stage 1: Application Screening
All submitted applications will be screened to verify that candidates meet the minimum requirements. Only eligible candidates will proceed to the next stage.
Stage 2: Shortlisting
Qualified applicants will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and suitability for the positions. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the official portal and communicated via email.
Stage 3: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Computer-Based Test to assess their subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, and general competency. The date, time, and venue for the examination will be communicated to shortlisted candidates via email and SMS.
Stage 4: Document Verification and Interview
Candidates who perform well in the CBT will be invited for document verification and oral interview. Original copies of all certificates and credentials must be presented at this stage.
Stage 5: Final Selection and Deployment
Successful candidates will receive official employment letters and be deployed to schools across Nasarawa State based on need and qualifications.
