APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO PROGRAMME FOR THE 2024/2025 SESSION. The Polytechnic Ibadan extends a warm invitation to interested individuals who meet the qualification criteria to apply for our program.

In the 2023/2024 academic session at Poly Ibadan, candidates must achieve a minimum JAMB score of 150 to be eligible for the post-UTME screening process.

The application for admission into the ND & HND 2023/2024 Programme began on Monday, June 5th, 2023, and closed on October 20th, 2023. If you are interested in pursuing admission for the 2024/2025 academic year, keep in mind that the process is likely to happen during the same period next year. About Polytechnic Ibadan

Established in August 1970, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, also known as Poly Ibadan, is a higher learning institution in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Like other polytechnics in the country, Poly Ibadan was founded to provide an alternative avenue for higher education, emphasizing the acquisition of technical skills that set it apart from traditional universities.

The institution offers admission into various programmes which include the following:

NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES (FULL-TIME )

Candidates in this particular group are required to fulfill the following criteria:

  • They must select the Polytechnic Ibadan as their first choice during the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination or be willing to switch their institution preference to The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
  • ‘O’ Level Certificates & School Examination Details
  • Achieved a JAMB score equal to or above the minimum requirement set by the institution.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES (FULL-TIME)

Interested candidates must possess a valid National Diploma Certificate in their chosen program with a minimum of Lower Credit and at least one year of industrial experience. A Pass Credit with two years of industrial experience may be considered acceptable. Other requirements are below.

  • ‘O’ Level Certificates & School Examination Details
  • IT/SIWES Completion Letter
  • Any Letter of Employment

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING (URP)

Prospective candidates should hold both a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning (URP) and an NYSC Exemption certificate or a discharge certificate.

DAILY PART-TIME PROGRAMME (DPP)

Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Attain a minimum JAMB Score or above in the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
  • Acquire a Part-Time Application Form directly from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

CONTINUING EDUCATION CENTRE (PART-TIME) & NATIONAL DIPLOMA

Prospective candidates should secure a Part-Time Application Form directly from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA

Prospective candidates must possess a valid National Diploma Certificate in their chosen program.

Significant things to Note

For all programs, candidates must additionally hold five (5) relevant Oโ€™Level credits in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
