Taraba State Teachers (SUBEB) 2026/2027 Shortlisted Candidates
Last updated:
This guide covers the shortlist for teaching positions under the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB), which manages primary and junior secondary school teachers in the state. It tells you where things stand, how to check your name once a list appears, and what to do next.
Current Status: Is the Shortlisted Candidate List Out?
Status: NOT YET OUT. No. The Taraba State Shortlisted Candidates list for 2026/2027 has not been released. TSUBEB has not published any shortlist, screening list or recruitment notice for teachers on its official channels.
If you see a website, WhatsApp group or Facebook page claiming to hold the “official shortlist,” treat it as false until the same list appears on a Taraba State Government or TSUBEB page.
Recruitment Timeline and Shortlisted Schedule
- Recruitment notice: not yet announced by TSUBEB.
- Application window: not yet announced.
- Shortlist release: no date has been given. A shortlist is only published after an application window has closed and applications have been reviewed.
- Screening and verification: dates, venues and required documents will be announced together with the shortlist.
Do not rely on any “expected date” circulating online. Only TSUBEB can set one.
How to Check Your Name (Detailed Steps)
Use these steps when a list is published:
- Open the Taraba State Ministry of Education website HERE and go to the TSUBEB agency page.
- Look under News or the “For Teachers & Schools” menu, which includes a “Teacher Verification & Postings” link.
- Find the notice titled with the words “Shortlisted Candidates” and the recruitment year.
- Download the PDF. Open it on a phone or computer.
- Press Ctrl + F (computer) or use Search (phone) and type your surname.
- Check your full name, local government, qualification and the screening date and venue beside it.
- Save a copy and screenshot your entry.
- Check your phone and email for any direct message from TSUBEB. Messages from unknown numbers asking for money are not official.
What Does It Mean If Shortlisted or Not
If shortlisted: You passed the first review and are invited to the next stage, usually document verification and screening. It is not an employment letter, and it does not guarantee a posting.
If not shortlisted: Your name may be in a later batch, or your application was not successful at this stage. TSUBEB does not usually send individual feedback to candidates who are not shortlisted.
What to Do If Shortlisted or Not
If shortlisted:
- Read the full notice for the screening date, venue and time.
- Gather originals and photocopies of your academic certificates, NCE or degree, TRCN registration where required, birth certificate or age declaration, state and local government of origin certificate, valid ID and NYSC certificate.
- Arrive early, dressed formally, with passport photographs and your application printout.
- Make sure every document is genuine. Forged or mismatched documents lead to disqualification.
If not shortlisted:
- Check again after every new batch is published.
- Keep your documents ready and your phone number active.
- Watch for the next recruitment notice and apply early.
- Consider other openings such as federal and neighbouring state teaching vacancies.
