Teachers Recruitment 2026/2027: All States (SUBEB and TESCOM)

Every Nigerian state hires its own primary and secondary school teachers. Primary school teachers are usually recruited by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), while secondary school teachers are recruited by the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) or the state Ministry of Education. Most states now ask applicants to hold a TRCN certificate, a teaching qualification such as an NCE or a B.Ed, and to apply only through the state’s official portal.
