JAMB Portal Login 2026/2027 (e-Facility): How to Log In, Reset Your Password and Use Every Service
Last updated:
JAMB portal login takes place on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s e-Facility website at efacility.jamb.gov.ng. Every UTME and Direct Entry candidate gets an account on it, and almost everything you do with JAMB after registration happens there: checking your result, following your admission on CAPS, printing your admission letter, and applying for a change of course or institution.
This guide explains how to log in, what to do when you forget your password, and where to find each service on the portal. It also lists the JAMB dates candidates should be watching for the 2026/2027 admission season.

What the JAMB e-Facility portal is
e-Facility is JAMB’s self-service website for candidates. It holds your profile, results and admission records in one account. The Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), which many candidates call the “JAMB admission portal”, is not a separate site. It is one of the services inside e-Facility, so you reach it with the same login.
Your account is created during registration. You first create a JAMB profile by sending your National Identification Number (NIN) by SMS, buy an e-PIN, and then register at an accredited CBT centre. The email address you give at the centre becomes your e-Facility username. If you have not reached that stage yet, start with our guide to creating a JAMB profile and buying a JAMB e-PIN.
JAMB portal login: step by step
- Open your browser and go to efacility.jamb.gov.ng. Type the address yourself rather than clicking links shared on social media.
- Enter the email address you used during UTME or Direct Entry registration.
- Enter your e-Facility password and click Login.
- Your dashboard opens with a list of services on the left (or under the menu icon on a phone).
- Click the service you need, such as Check Admission Status or Print Result Slip.
On a phone, the dashboard can be hard to use in mobile view. If a button does not respond, switch your browser to “Desktop site” and try again.
Forgot your JAMB portal password?
The login page has a Forgot your Password? Click here to reset it link. Click it, enter your registered email address and follow the reset link JAMB sends to that email. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
If you no longer have access to the email address you registered with, the online reset will not help you. Visit a JAMB state office or an accredited CBT centre with your registration details and a valid ID, and ask for help recovering your account. Do not pay anyone online who offers to “retrieve” or “reset” your JAMB account. They need your details to do it, and that is exactly how candidates lose control of their admission.
Services on the JAMB portal
The table below lists the services candidates use most, with tpi.com.ng guides for each one. Some services are free; others carry a fee that the portal shows before you pay.
| Service | What it does | Step-by-step guide |
|---|---|---|
| Check Admission Status (CAPS) | Shows whether a school has offered you admission and lets you accept or reject it | JAMB CAPS login |
| Print Result Slip | Prints your original UTME result slip (₦1,500 for the original slip) | Print JAMB UTME result slip |
| Print Admission Letter | Prints your JAMB admission letter after you accept an offer | Print JAMB admission letter |
| Change of Course | Changes your course choice before or during admission | JAMB change of course |
| Change of Institution | Changes your choice of school | JAMB change of institution |
| O’Level result status | Shows whether your WAEC/NECO result has been uploaded (the upload itself is done at a CBT centre) | Upload O’Level result to JAMB |
| Print Examination Slip | Prints the slip showing your exam date, time and centre | Print JAMB examination slip |
How to check your JAMB result on the portal
Searches for the “JAMB result portal” lead to the same e-Facility account. After logging in, use the result option on your dashboard to see your score, or Print Result Slip to pay for and print the original result slip that schools ask for during screening and clearance. You can also check your score by SMS from the phone number you registered with. Our guide on how to check and print your JAMB result covers both methods.
Reprinting your JAMB slips
Candidates who search for the “JAMB reprint portal” usually need to print their UTME examination slip again before the exam, or their registration slip. Both are on e-Facility after you log in. Our guide to reprinting your JAMB exam slip shows the steps and what to do if the slip will not load.
Using the portal for admission
From the dashboard, click Check Admission Status, choose the admission year and enter your registration number if asked. CAPS will show one of a few statuses: admission offered, admission in progress, not admitted, or no admission yet. “Admission in progress” means your school is still working on its list. A “Not admitted” status during the admission season is not always final, because schools release offers in batches.
When an offer appears, accept it quickly. You can accept on the portal or by SMS to 55019 or 66019 from your registered phone number. Our JAMB CAPS login guide walks through each step, including what to do if the Accept button is missing. Once you accept, print your JAMB admission letter for clearance at your school.
Candidates who had offers between 2021 and 2025 and never accepted them have until 30 November 2026, which JAMB has called the final extension. Read our report on the JAMB acceptance deadline for details.
JAMB dates to watch for 2026/2027
- 30 November 2026: last day to accept outstanding 2021–2025 admission offers on CAPS.
- Now until schools close their lists: 2026/2027 admissions are running on CAPS. Check your status regularly and accept offers promptly.
- 2027 UTME registration: JAMB has not announced the dates yet. In the 2026 cycle, e-PIN sales ran from 19 January to 26 February, so candidates should prepare their NIN and profile before January.
Common JAMB portal problems and fixes
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “Invalid email or password” | Wrong email, typing error, or an old password | Check the email you used at the CBT centre, then use Forgot Password |
| Page will not load | Heavy traffic during admission periods | Try again early in the morning or late at night |
| Buttons do nothing on phone | Mobile layout problem | Switch the browser to “Desktop site” or use a laptop |
| No password reset email | Email in spam, or you no longer use that email | Check spam; if the email is lost, visit a JAMB office |
| Admission status not showing | Your school has not uploaded its list yet | Wait and check again; follow your school’s announcements |
Stay safe on the JAMB portal
Only enter your details on efacility.jamb.gov.ng. Fake sites copy JAMB’s colours and ask for your password, registration number or payment to “upgrade” your score or “speed up” admission. JAMB does not sell scores or admission, and no agent can change your CAPS status for money. Never share your password, and change it if you think someone else has seen it.
