About the Exercise

Qualifications by Category

A. Professional Cadre (Grade Level 09, 10, and 12)

• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, and a Master’s degree, in the relevant field of specialization from a Government-recognized institution.
• Relevant professional certification where applicable; examples given include NBA, MDCN, COREN, NSE, ICAN, ANAN, and CPN.
• NYSC Discharge Certificate, Certificate of Exemption, or Letter of Exclusion.
• Demonstrable practical knowledge and competence in the relevant field.
• Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, alongside proficiency in computer applications and digital tools.

B. Administrative Officer II – Registration Area Officer (Grade Level 08)

• A Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Sciences from a recognized institution.
• NYSC Discharge Certificate, Certificate of Exemption, or Letter of Exclusion.
• Good knowledge of data management and record-keeping.
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant ICT tools.

C. Executive Officer – Registration Area Officer (Grade Level 07)

• A National Certificate in Education (NCE) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations and data handling.
• Good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under supervision within assigned Registration Areas.

General Requirements (All Categories)

• Be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent.
• Present a valid Certificate of State of Origin duly signed by the Chairman or Secretary of your Local Government; certificates endorsed by Liaison Officers will not be accepted.
• Be computer literate.
• Be certified by a Government Medical Officer as physically and mentally fit for appointment into the Commission.
• Not be above 35 years of age at the point of application.
• Possess good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offense.
• Be willing to serve in any part of the Federation where assigned.
