Nigerian Foundries Limited Graduate Trainee Program 2026/2027: Engineering, Sales and Marketing Roles
Last updated:
Nigerian Foundries Limited (NFL) has re-posted its 18-month Graduate Trainee Program for engineering, sales and marketing candidates, with listings dated 8 and 9 October 2026. No closing date appears in the October listings. The same program was advertised in February 2026 with a deadline of 15 March 2026, so applicants should treat the October posting as open but act quickly and confirm the current position with the company before sending anything.
Recruitment is free. Nigerian Foundries does not ask applicants to pay for forms, tests or placement. Applications go by email with a CV and cover letter. Anyone who asks for money to secure a slot is a scammer, so do not pay and do not share bank or card details.

About Nigerian Foundries Limited
Nigerian Foundries Limited began in 1969 as a small grey iron foundry in Ilupeju, Lagos, producing municipal castings and water pipeline fittings. It was founded by the Barberopoulos brothers. Over the decades it has grown into a ferrous foundry group that describes itself as the leading one in sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa.
The group works from two plants, one in Ilupeju, Lagos and one at Sango-Otta, Ogun State, with a combined installed capacity of 8,500 metric tons per year. Its adverts also describe a fabrication yard and additive manufacturing facilities, and present the company as a total solutions enterprise built around innovation, operational excellence and strategic global partnerships. For a graduate, that means exposure to casting, machining, fabrication, engineering design and 3D printing under one employer, which is uncommon in Nigerian manufacturing.
What the 18-Month Program Covers
The program is structured as a career development track rather than a short internship. Trainees rotate through the main production and engineering areas of the business, with mentoring from experienced staff and hands-on time on the factory floor.
- Foundry operations
- Machining
- Fabrication
- Engineering design
- 3D printing
Sales trainees begin their training at the Ota plant, so they learn the products and processes they will later sell. The company says outstanding trainees may be considered for permanent placement after the program. That is a possibility, not a promise, so do not treat the program as a guaranteed job.
Engineering Roles: Design, Production and Sales Engineer
The engineering listings cover Design Engineer, Production Engineer and Sales Engineer. They share the same entry requirements, listed below. Technical sales is included here because selling castings and fabricated parts requires an understanding of materials, tolerances and drawings.
Engineering Requirements
- B.Sc, B.Eng or HND in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Chemical, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or a related field.
- Mandatory CAD skills in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or AutoCAD.
- Age 27 or below.
- 0 to 2 years of work experience, or a fresh graduate.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Sales and Marketing Roles: Who Qualifies
The Graduate Trainee, Sales and Marketing Officer role is open to a wider range of degrees. Candidates with a B.Sc or HND in Marketing or any social science can apply. Engineering graduates who want a technical sales path are also welcome.
