91RRI General Instructions from the Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has issued the following official instructions for all 91RRI shortlisted candidates. Read and follow all of them carefully:

  • No Computer-Based Test: Candidates are to note that there will be no pre-selection CBT at this stage of the exercise
  • No special centers: There are no special or preferential screening centers; all candidates must attend the standard state exercise
  • No zonal screening: There will be no zonal screening exercise; screening is strictly at the state of origin only
  • State of origin only: All screening of potential recruits will be conducted in the candidates’ respective states of origin, and they must report there, not anywhere else
  • No electronic devices: Candidates must not bring mobile phones, electronic devices, or recording equipment to the screening venue
  • BVN printout: Candidates must come with their Bank Verification Number (BVN) printout
  • No gratification: Candidates are advised in their own interest not to give any form of payment, gift, or inducement to any person or group to assist them in the recruitment exercise, which leads to disqualification
  • Document integrity: Any candidate who falsifies or forges results or documents, even if discovered during training at Depot NA, will be withdrawn from the program immediately

Documents Required at the State Screening Exercise

All shortlisted candidates must arrive at their state screening center with the following documents. Failure to present required documents may result in disqualification:

  • Printed shortlist evidence: Screenshot or printout confirming your name on the official 91RRI shortlist
  • Acknowledgment Slip: Your original application acknowledgment slip from the Nigerian Army portal
  • Birth Certificate or Age Declaration: Original and photocopy from a recognized authority
  • Certificate of State of Origin: Original and photocopy signed and stamped by your LGA Chairman or Secretary
  • National Identification Number (NIN): Your NIN card, slip, or printout
  • BVN Printout: Bank Verification Number printout from your bank
  • Educational Certificates: Original SSCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE) and any higher qualifications with original and photocopies
  • Valid means of identification: National ID Card, Voter’s Card, International Passport, or Driver’s License

What to Expect at the State Screening Exercise

Document Verification

Officials verify and authenticate all documents submitted during the application and presented on screening day. Any discrepancy between submitted and original documents results in immediate disqualification.

Physical Fitness Tests

Shortlisted candidates undergo physical fitness testing to assess strength, endurance, and agility. Tests typically include push-ups, sit-ups, and running exercises. Physical fitness is a core requirement for military service, and you should begin preparing immediately.

Medical Examination
